Mr. Md. Enayet Kabir Sarkar, PBGMS was born on 1977 in Sherpur upazilla under Bogra District. After successful completion of his school and college education, he got admitted into the University of Rajshahi from where he obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and Master of Laws (LL.M.) in 1999 and 2000 respectively. He is currently pursuing his Master of Philosophy degree under the same university on Anti-terrorism Laws.

He joined Dhaka Bar Association in 2001 and until 2005, he practiced law in Dhaka Judge’s Court. In 2005, as a member of 22^nd Bangladesh Civil Service (Judicial Cadre) he joined as an Assistant Judge in Rajshahi. Later, he worked in different tiers of the Judiciary in Moulvibajar, Sylhet, Dhaka and Rajshahi districts. He worked as a law officer in Border Guard Bangladesh. He joined in Pabna Judiciary as the District and Sessions Judge on 30/10/2024.

Mr. Sarkar is an expert in Anti-Terrorism related laws and his areas of interest include anti-terrorism, money laundering, law of evidence and judicial procedure and investigation. He worked in Anti-Terrorism Special Tribunal, Rajshahi for five years. He conducted several sessions in BPA, BPATC, OPDAT, Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank, and in several programs organized by USAID. He successfully completed the first Human Rights Summer School, and completed training in Judicial Administration and Training Institute (JATI), BELA, BPATC and survey settlement course. He also completed a six-month-long program on case management organized by the U.S. Embassy, Dhaka.

Apart from this, he completed several professional training courses in National Judicial Academy, Bhopal, India, Western Sydney University, Australia and Chandigarh Judicial Academy, Punjab and Haryana, India. He also completed a training course on case management in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. He was awarded the President Border Guard Medal of Service (PBGMS) for his outstanding service.

Mr. Sarkar is a happily married and father of two children.
